Rummy is a well-known card game. The goal of rummy is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. You do this by forming melds with the cards in your hand.
Rummy is typically played with a standard 52-card deck, but variations exist with different numbers of cards. This free online version lets you play against simulated opponents instantly in your browser—no download or login required!
Be the first player to dispose of all the cards in your hand. You do this by creating melds, which are combinations of cards that follow specific rules.
Each player is dealt 10 cards (or 7 cards with 3-4 players) from a standard 52-card deck. (Pro Tip: For hosting real-life games, we recommend using Casino-Grade Plastic Cards which shuffle smoother and don't get sticky like paper cards).
The remaining cards form the draw pile, and one card is placed face-up to start the discard pile. (Host's Note: If you play often, an Automatic Card Shuffler speeds up the dealing phase significantly).
On your turn:
In this version of Online Rummy, Aces are always low. This means A-2-3 is a valid run, but Q-K-A is not. Sequences cannot wrap around (K-A-2 is not allowed).
The first player to play all their cards wins! If the draw pile runs out, the discard pile is shuffled and becomes the new draw pile.
